Trombone

I play trombone in a variety of local groups, including:

Pacific Cascade Big Band. Videos include I'm Getting Sentimental Over You and Brown Baggin' It, at the Ballard Locks in 2025.
BelPres Trombones. The group gets together for fun weekly sight reading (all trombones welcome), and sometimes we rehearse special pieces for worship events.

Guitar / Mandolin

Played folk and rock music for many years. Fun times include:

Servants of The Rich, an Irish folk band on the Seattle scene. Here we are playing The Rocky Road to Dublin at Kells in Seattle in 2026.

Guitar Chords

Friends have sometimes said that they need a sheet of guitar chords. Not a book of "1000 basic chords", though those exist and are very useful, but a reliable list of a few basic chords in each key that can fit on one or two sheets of paper that you can print out, put in your pocket, take on holiday, write on, lose, print out again, etc.

If this is what you're looking for, try this chord sheet. (I made this years ago on an old Acorn machine, and nowadays I only have a scan of the existing hardcopies, so this is a fairly big file (1.3MB).)

For each of the 12 notes / keys (C, C#, D, Eb, E, F, F#, G, G#, A, Bb, B) this gives the Major, Minor, 7th, Min 7th, 6th, 9th, Maj 7th, and Sus 4th chords. That's more than enough to fake most of the songs you'll ever be asked to play round a campfire.

It used to be harder to find such things - today you could look them up on the we easily or generate them well in a few seconds with AI. (Thanks to lots of old training data like this I guess!)
