Dominic's Music Page
My main public musical activity at the moment is playing (somewhat occasionally) with
Kindred Folk.
Still writing folks songs and such like occasinally, including Carrying Gin the Strait of Malacca.

Our Song for Marriage Equality
Back in 2004, Maryl and I were married in San Francisco and found ourselves
unexpectedly caught up in history.
We'd never recorded a song before, but there's a first time
for everything ...
The song and lyrics are here.
Old And New Songs on the Dull Topic of Fiscal Responsibility and Social Justice
Here's a terribly rough start to a song about (then) current
events in July, 2011. It's called Which
Side Are You On?. See what you think.
An old song on a that same long-term theme goes by the scintillating
title of "Fiscal Policy." There have been a few requests for the
words, so here they are.
Guitar Chords
Many friends have said at different times that they really need a
sheet of guitar chords. Not a book of "1000 basic chords", though
those exist and are very useful, but a reliable list of a few basic
chords in each key that can fit on one or two sheets of paper that you
can print out, put in your pocket, take on holiday, write on, lose,
print out again, etc.
If this is what you're looking for, try this chord sheet. (I made this years ago
on an old Acorn machine, and nowadays I only have a scan of the
existing hardcopies, so this is a fairly big file (1.3MB).)
For each of the 12 notes / keys (C, C#, D, Eb, E, F, F#, G, G#, A, Bb,
B) this gives the Major, Minor, 7th, Min 7th, 6th, 9th, Maj 7th, and
Sus 4th chords. That's more than enough to fake most of the songs
you'll ever be asked to play round a campfire.
